Open from sunrise to sunset every day, Alexandra Park ensures ample hours of operation for visitors to indulge in its recreational offerings.

Bill Keller Park

Named in honor of William Keller, a dedicated community member and former member of the Volusia County Council, District 5, Keller Park pays homage to his contributions prior to the city's incorporation. Spanning an expansive 19 acres, this park is tailored to cater to sports enthusiasts of all kinds. It features a range of facilities, including two tennis courts, two pickleball courts, three baseball diamonds, and a full court basketball court, providing ample opportunities for active recreation. Additionally, Keller Park offers an ADA-accessible playground equipped with climbers, swings, platforms, and slides, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors. With parking available for up to 162 vehicles, convenience is prioritized. For those looking to host events or activities, the park also provides the option to rent its pavilions and baseball fields, ensuring a memorable experience for all.

Community Park

The Splash Pad at Community Park in DeBary, Florida operates from 10 AM to 6 PM and is open from March to October. It is closed on Mondays for maintenance.   Showering before entering is required, and it's not to be used if sick. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Proper swimwear must be worn, and no food or pets are allowed. Climbing, rough play, alcohol, and tobacco are prohibited. The Splash Pad may close due to weather or maintenance. The maximum capacity is 70, and admission is free. Rentals are not available; it's first-come, first-served.

Eagles Nest Park

92 Spur Rd.

Eagle's Nest Park, situated on Spur Road across from DeBary Elementary, offers a convenient neighborhood location for visitors. This recently renovated park provides a charming and easily accessible space within walking distance, eliminating the need for parking facilities. The park features a fenced-in area with a small lot size, catering to children between the ages of 2 and 12. Here, young visitors can delight in a range of playground swings and park amenities, including the innovative Star Seeker, which showcases cutting-edge playground equipment. Additionally, the park boasts a 30' x 20' half basketball court and a pavilion complete with a grill, table, and benches, perfect for outdoor gatherings and picnics. Reservations are generally not required, except for parties or special occasions. Eagle's Nest Park offers a welcoming environment for families and community members to enjoy recreational activities and create lasting memories in a serene setting.

Gateway Park

Gateway Park spans 9 acres and is conveniently located on U.S. Highway 17/92, just south of Saxon Blvd. The park offers a range of amenities, including a playground with climbers, slides, and a large group swing. Thrill-seekers can enjoy a 60' zipline, while fitness enthusiasts can make use of the Fitness Equipment Trail. The park also features a butterfly garden maintained by the DeBary Garden Club, adding to its natural charm. Gateway Park is home to the Gateway Center for the Arts, which provides cultural experiences and artistic opportunities. Two family-size pavilions adjacent to the playground are available for birthday parties and picnics, while additional pavilions and benches throughout the park offer peaceful spots for lunch or leisurely reading. 

Memorial Park

Memorial Park, spanning 2.5 acres, was generously donated by the Gray family to the City of DeBary as a tribute to individuals and groups. The park was dedicated on Memorial Day in 1999, honoring veterans, local heroes, and residents. Offering a serene atmosphere, the park provides five pavilions for picnics and relaxation. Prominently displayed within the park are an F-15 Eagle aircraft and the USS Langley's anchor. These notable features, along with a beautifully illuminated hillside garden, can be admired from Dirksen Drive. Additionally, the park provides parking space for 12 vehicles, ensuring convenient access for visitors. Memorial Park stands as a peaceful place of remembrance and appreciation in the heart of DeBary.

Power Park

Power Park is a generous gift from Progress Energy (now known as Florida Power Corporation) and Florida Power & Light, specifically designed for the children of DeBary. This small yet charming park, nestled within a residential area, offers various amenities to enhance outdoor play. Visitors can enjoy a half basketball court, a swing set, and a playground featuring climbing bars, decks, and slides. A pavilion, shaded by majestic old oak trees, provides a serene spot for a small picnic, with two tables accompanied by benches. Power Park is a delightful recreational space dedicated to the joy and enjoyment of the young residents of DeBary.

River City Nature Park

200 Barwick Rd.

River City Nature Park is a remarkable 113-acre triangular-shaped property located alongside the scenic St. Johns River, providing public access to its natural environment. The City of DeBary has exciting plans to develop this area into a passive waterfront park, offering a range of outdoor conservation and recreational opportunities. Visitors can look forward to amenities such as a fishing pier, playground, family picnic shelters, and nature walks. The nature walks will feature interpretive signs that provide information about the various natural communities and habitats found in the park.

 

For disc golf enthusiasts, there is a 36-hole course available for play. It caters to both entry-level players and avid enthusiasts, with 18 holes equipped with signage and tee boxes. Disc golf disc sets can be rented from the Parks & Recreation office at City Hall during weekdays. The rental fee for a disc golf set, which includes 8 Frisbees per set, is $5 per day per set, along with a $50 refundable deposit.

 

The park is also home to a diverse range of bird species, including bald eagles, egrets, and herons, making it a haven for birdwatchers. The landscape features clusters of majestic Live Oak, Southern Magnolia, Cypress, Sweet Gum, and Slash Pine trees, interspersed with open pasture areas. The Park offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, explore the outdoors, and appreciate the rich biodiversity found along the St. Johns River.

Rob Sullivan Park

Rob Sullivan Community Park, named in honor of a dedicated former City Council Member, is a gated 27-acre park in DeBary. This park is primarily focused on sports activities, offering three softball fields and two large multipurpose fields. Visitors can also enjoy a playground, three pavilions, a restroom facility, and a concession stand. Ample parking is available to accommodate park visitors. The sports fields and pavilions are available for rental, providing opportunities for organized events and gatherings. Rob Sullivan Community Park is a testament to the city's commitment to providing excellent sports facilities and recreational amenities for the community.
